God of War 3

My favorite series is finally coming to an end. This is the last of the trilogy, and damn is it going out in style. These are the best graphics Ive seen in any console game, and the combat is even more brutal this time around. Cant wait to get to the end of this one to see how the story plays out.

Is the story really that good? I never ventured into the series, though some of my buddies say it is slightly reminiscent of LoZ combat-wise. But bloody and gore-filled. I was not a PS2 junkie, so I just never got around to it. Should I, Triz? From the limited knowledge you have of my gaming preferences, is this worth checking out?

Honestly, it should be checked out on its AAA status alone. The first game was a technical achievment on the ps2. the 2nd one topped that. the third one is showing that the ps3 cant be touched graphically by the 360. I really enjoy the story as its based in greek mytholgy, you come accross tons of characters and while it is its own take, all the gods and characters are portrayed as they are in the mythos.

I wouldnt put the combat in a LoZ comparisson more like devil may cry. But its probably the most brutal youll come across due to the finishers. Thats my favorite part of 3. They are pulling some magic with the cell, because the camera zooms in and these creatures look alive, no jaggies or anything on them as you rip off thier heads and intestines spill out of gutted corpses.

edit as far as the series, I rebought a ps2 just to play god of war 1, sold the system after, and then rebought the system and god of war 2 when it launched. then I purchased the remastered collection for ps3 even while owning the originals haha.

Will it really be the end of the series? I doubt it. I'm going to make a prediction. Coming 2013.....God of War: ODST

End of the series definitely not, end of this trilogy confirmed by people who have finished it. Im doing my best to avoid spoilers, and I havent completed it yet.

There is a level later in the game where the whole thing is one giant boss fight. My mind was blown they were able to pull this off on the consoles. Such an awesome game.

Its my first exp with the series. graphicly its out standing and not just from a tech point. It does some every creative things. first Lv your actually fighting on a giant titan which was really cool. the over all story is pretty good but i wish it could have had a bit more but for a hack and slasher it was about as good as one should expect but story wise a RPG its not lol.my only complaint is the game play can get stale at times. i found i was doing the same thing "light attack then heavy attack" for so long it just got a bit old.Still though if you like games that look great and are high on action then it should def be played. It def has polish and a lot of WOW moments.

Id check out the compilation disk with the first two if you havent plaed them Wildcard. Id say 2 is actually the best of the series.
