| I forgot how funny this thread was.
Ill be getting my Vita tomorrow. Already have Uncharted and Hot Shots Golf in the home. Will be picking up Lumines tomorrow along with the dock.
This launch lineup is pretty damn impressive for any system.
Look forward to my bitching in 3 months when they announce a price drop.

| I really wish I had the time Triz does. I can't even play all of the great stuff 3DS has now, much less hope to keep up with the upcoming stuff. Even if I wasn't loyal to Nintendo, Vita would never enter my radar. (Actually, that's the top reason I am loyal to Nintendo- they put out more than enough amazing stuff to keep me busy.) | |

| Its not about making time. Its about not letting the tiome you devote to this hobby ever leave your grasp. I play instead of watching tv. Its my escape. My wife knows it and lets it continue, and for that I thank her. | |

| As in "not as doomed" as we all thought? Definitely. This thing is a beast. And if it can keep the support its getting its going to go places. I would say it has the best launch lineup of any console ever even beating out the Dreamcast. Lets hope it has a better fate. | |

| or healthy as in fajita psvita pita? It does. Sounds like a very lettucy lunch.
Hopefully the support it gets turns into better games. The first string of games have big names but lack the same full flavor of their console counterparts. I'm worried they're going to make the same mistake and not separate the system from the console. It needs its own identity. Bringing a bunch of PS3 franchises to it isn't ideal. New and successful handheld IP's are needed here.

Yeah, like that. Or vita-min. I don't care in the slightest whether it gets support or not. It won't affect me, and Sony can burn for all I care.

| In my opinion the launch titles are as unimpressive as the 3DS's. And the touch thing on the back is not as cool in use as it was in theory to me. Just doesn't feel right.
Burn Sony, burn. Wait... you gave me Simpsons Arcade... you may live another day!

| I found the touchpad in the back worked well, I'm just not sure how many games are going to support it. I'm no developer, but at this point it seems as gimmicky as say rob the robot.
I want it to have some sort of success to drive Nintendo to do better. The DS destroyed all of Sonys offerings by a longshot. Right now I'm worried this immediate launch fever for PSVita is going to die in a few months and the focus will be right back on 3DS resulting in sales skyrocketing even higher over PSVita. Not saying I wouldn't be happy but I think Nintendo needs some competition this generation.

| Launch fever? I dont live in the city anymore but Vita on launch was as unimpressive (meaning no one was in the damn store) as the 3DS. No one seemed excited about it here... And Triz, I dont know why you post here either. | |

You're right. There was no launch fever. I spend a lot of time with Triz and I took his hype for the system and turned it into global demand. - Antilles wrote:

3DS launch was stale. Street Fighter was the best of the bunch, but so much complaining about the rest. It will go down as a lackluster launch in gaming history I'm sure. Pilotwings Resort made me rage that I dropped $40 for what should have been a pack-in.

| Word on the street is that the PSVita is doing so poorly that developers are re-working games they were making for it and bringing them over to the Wii U. Should help boost the amount of games we get to play between launch of Wii U and summer 2013. Ah PSVita...I never knew ye. | |

| Funny thing is...Triz somehow finds enough content on his Vita to play it everyday. Soooo many great games on 3DS but...gotta play Vita. No time for 3DS.
We joked the other day because every time I go to his house he's playing Vita. I said it was just like if he came to my house and every time he came I was playing Virtual Boy. They're kinda the same as far as amount of quality games available.
To be honest, I would probably do the same thing. A brand new system on the market and still has that novelty gleam. No matter how much fail the system is I would want to get my money's worth out of the thing so I don't feel completely scammed out of $250 by Sony. I think once that novelty wears off and the hardware isn't fresh enough to keep it running with the lack of software, good ol' Triz will be back to play all these awesome 3DS games that are dropping at a rapid pace.

| Yeah but why play a few decent Vita titles when so many great AAA+ games are coming and have come to 3DS? | |

| It gets better. I was wrong. I thought Triz would eventually return to the 3DS for the better selection of great titles, but instead he is trading in his 3DS to get the Wii U. Keeping the Vita, but selling the 3DS. I know, it doesn't make sense. He says he plays the Vita all the time and not the 3DS. I know, that doesn't make sense when you compare game libraries. To each his own as the saying goes. Since he hasn't been on in a while it seems I've become his mouthpiece in the forums. | |
