I picked this Racing Wheel up for the 3DS and noticed it was made by Memorex, the same guys that ruled the cassette tape industry years ago. So now they're making 3DS peripherals! The 3DS fits snug in the wheel and when you set games like Mario Kart 7 or Star Fox 64 3D to use the gyro sensor this makes it feel a little more like you are in the drivers seat, but not much. The L and R buttons on the back aren't as responsive as I'd like. As with most peripherals that require buttons to press buttons, you have to press a little more firmly for it to register. Not a terrible purchase since it was only $10, but doesn't "enhance" the experience as much as the box tells you.

lol. I honestly don't pull it out much. Nintendo needs to make some games that allow the gyro sensors to shine. Making it an option on titles like Mario Kart or Star Fox where the player is used to the original controls means it just won't be used often.

If I owned a company whose purpose was to come up with peripherals that are conceptually idiotic, this would have been my first project.
Second would be a screen door peripheral for Steel Diver...

A Screen Door! Do it! More peripherals please, I don't care how crappy. It would get me to buy Steel Diver just so I can use it.

I got the HORI version of the wheel, with the golden seal mind you, and I've come to use it every time!

I've seen that one with the seal. I would have gotten that one if it was on the market at the time I was Wheel purchasing. Not sure how one can be better than the other one though. It's a plastic wheel that holds the 3ds. Do the buttons that press buttons work pretty well for you? And how much was your HORI Wheel?
