Was the Nintendo Direct today what you expected? Lots of questions were answered but yet I still have some question left unanswered. Guess there will have to be another Nintendo Direct next month! But for now, let's look at what they spilled:

Two Wii U versions available on November 18th.

A White Basic Set with 8 GB storage, console, GamePad, stylus, HDMI cable (finally someone gets this right!), 2 AC adapters for the console and GamePad, sensor bar, and comes in at $300

The Black Deluxe Set comes with everything the Basic Set has, but also includes more memory at 32GB storage, stands for the console and GamePad, A charging stand for the GamePad, and a copy of Nintendo Land. All for $350.

Nintendo TVii (clever spelling) looks awesome. For someone like me that has all those subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc, it seems like a super convenience to have it all in one place on the GamePad. All the extra content that can be accessed on the GamePad depending on the show you're watching along with all the social feature integration is too sweet. Not sure how often I'll use it but I can definitely see it as something I use a lot more when it comes to sports.

All this is wonderful but still I have some questions. Like, what's the scoop on the rumored accomplishments? Is the launch lineup we have now complete? If they don't give us anything else on the online aspects then I might be ok with that. It leaves something great for gamers to discover.

That's 60 games on the list right there, though I'd bet several of them don't make the launch window. Also, I'd bet several unannounced licensed games make the launch window, since they generally spend about 2-3 months developing those...

I would be happy with 20 games... hell 10 at launch.
People think that with a new console all of these blood sweat and tears games should be coming at launch.

This isnt the 8bit era, these games are full on productions that sometimes take devs years to master on a certain console.

IMO, PS3 is having a great line up of games this year, and so has the Wii. To heck with what everyone else says, Mario Party 9, Xenoblade Chronicles, Rhythm Heaven Fever, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Skyward Sword, The Last Story... 6 games I consider some best on the console!

Yeah, that is A LOT better than how the GameCube finished its final year.
