I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

This game is freakin' extreme, lol.

You are Shoko, female (LOLZ) president of New Japan. You fight in a giant mech to destroy "spikes" that hold enemy energies etc that pose a threat to your precious country. I'm sure there are other enemies but I'm only at stage 3.

The controls remind me, a bit, of Kid Icarus's Uprising's flight sections. You tap and hold the stylus over your target(s), then let up from the touch screen when you want to unleash your missile(s). How many enemies you tap before letting up on the screen takes away from your defense though.

What I didn't tell you was that your missiles are also your defensive armor. You have 14 at your disposal, and you choose to either unleash one at a time, or unleash them all for a greater attack (though leaving you vulnerable). I may have counted wrong but I think 14 is my current max, only played for an hour or so.

The entire game has voice acting, though campy, fitting and awesome. The story is absolute drivel, over the top and self deprecating. Really top notch, what we have come to expect from Level 5, and though it could be argued, from Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture as well.

The game is manic and intense. As such, it only fits my my insane gaming moods for high scoring and general eye candy.

4/5, a must download from the eShop. Support these games so we get more of them localized! Thank you Level 5 and Grasshopper Manufacture!!!

edit: I forgot to mention that I was urged to use the KI:U stand by my wife and it totally helps, as you strafe with the L button and move around with the circlepad.

Oh cool! Another use for the stand! Interesting ass shots of the character too. Smile

Sounds like a must download. Great to see Nintendo bringing over a lot more odd Japanese games these days. Not so much a risk when it is eShop probably helped with the decision.

It is a lot of fun, though its being overshadowed play time-wise by Code of Princess.
