Any input as to how this looks? I wont start out negative just to please the board.

Yoshi's fruit cart https://youtu.be/u6msF5Wj15I

Octopus Dance https://youtu.be/8KvF0s6O0ko

The other games look better from what I see, but this doesnt exactly scream $60 title when I see it. Seems it should be packed in with all systems.

Since they're selling at a loss, it more or less IS a free game for anyone who's not stupid.

You're right that those first two videos were less than exciting. I can see why Nintendo hasn't shown those much. The last one is encouraging. It is good to see that previous reviews were not based on the final version.

It looks to me like they solved the dilemma in Mario Chase of what to do if you have only two players. It looked to me like there were CPU-controlled Yoshis chasing Mario.

Yoshi's Fruit Cart and Octopus Dance look like they would be more fun to play than watch. Maybe those will be the ones that aren't played as much. I'd say Nintendo Land overall looks more like a full game than Wii Sports did even though it has that demo feel.

They seemed to hint at unlockables and stuff. That would be really sweet. Even if it's outfits and stuff. Give people a reason to keep digging for stuff while having a blast.

Yoshi game looks boring and bland... Whats with the background/floor being all... barren?
Octopus Dance looks cool enough.

I was never too excited for this game anyhow... I just wanna play the Zelda game hahaha.

I wouldn't buy this game if it didn't come with the deluxe set.

I would in a heartbeat. It's my #2 reason to buy Wii U. (After Tank! Tank! Tank!)

Wait- did I just put myself in Streexville credibility level?

Okay, I'm actually really big into the whole living room family and friends fun concept and have been since long before Nintendo made it a thing. That puts those two games on top. (The reason I'm getting the Rabbids game is a combination of that and it's a sneaky way to get another Wii U game by getting it as a Christmas present for my dad who loves Rabbids.)

As far as single player is concerned, I'm most interested in ZombiU and Aliens, though again, with ZombiU, the multiplayer adds weight to it that would have prevented me from buying it otherwise. Even though it's a port, I really like Batman, too, since it seems like at least a well-done port.

I probably would have passed on Wii Sports if it wasn't a pack in. Probably would pass on Nintendo Land, but that doesn't mean I won't like it. There's just too many great games available at launch.

I started with Yoshi's Fruit Cart and didn't like it at first but it works much better as a game to sit down alone with. Boring in a multiplayer environment.

I've only cracked this game. Only played Yoshi's Fruit Cart, Pikmin Adventure, Balloon Trip Breeze, and Luigi's Ghost Mansion (my favorite of these 4).

When I first played it at launch the plaza was empty with only me in it. Does it eventually populate with other random players or friends?

This explains why I have frozen more than you all. I have played Nintendoland a TON and have had at least 20 guests (not all at once- highest was about 10) over to play it. My park is crawling with people.

Incidentally, you may have seen online that people have figured out that if you set Miiverse and in-game languages to English-only, there's no more freezing up.

I will take the liberty of assuming you meant freezing up, which would also account for why the other game to freeze on me was NSMBU (Miiverse, natch).

What? That's totally what I said...

And yes, that's why other games sometimes freeze up as well. Nintendoland most heavily, I think, because it uses tons of miiverse.

Good tip there Antilles. I've only had a case of the freezies twice and the system update this week should solve this issue. If not, I'll switch to English only.

I've had it freeze once since then, but it was a totally different freeze. It froze while closing a game out to return to the main menu. As we all know, that process is glacially slow, anyway, so it took me awhile to realize something was wrong. There was no crazy screech or anything. Just the usual loading sound.
