I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

    PostSubject: Trine 2: Director's Cut   Fri Dec 07, 2012 3:14 pm

With all these launch titles, we're going to hear a lot of comparisons to the versions on the other consoles, and the Wii U version hasn't held up in many regards. I blame this mostly on the short amount of time the developers had with the hardware, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Trine 2 on Wii U trumps the other console versions. Pumping out better graphics without a loss of frame-rate and included content that can only be found on the PC version, it feels good that someone got it right very quickly. Add in the fact that touch screen controls has made it a lot easier to create things like boxes in the game with the wizard and you got the best console experience money can buy. With gameplay much like The Lost Vikings I am very pleased with this download. If any of you loved The Lost Vikings like I did, you must give this a try. Download!

Game is fun, better with friends. Wife sucks so this game is begging for a forum get-together IMO.

So- is there gifting of downloads on Wii-U? Or is that as nonfunctional as it is on 3DS?

A forum Trine 2 quest would be awesome! Voice chat is supposed to be added soon if not already.

No gifting on Wii U either. I guess they think we're all greedy bastards and would never want to give someone else a digital game.

I find it such an odd omission. Not many people must have used it... I got my brothers something with it every year the system was "this gen."

Yeah, I bought stuff on it, too. It really is an outstanding way to give gifts long distance without having to pay shipping. If Nintendo were serious about this all-digital thing, this would be a standard feature. It's baffling to me that they would make all games available via download and then not let you gift them.
