Will mobile phone gaming kill off systems like the 3DS?
I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

Man... I love Studio Ghibli so when I found out about this game finally happening I was sooooooo stoked.
Played it for a few hours. Its a glorified Pokemon clone. That plays like shit. So disappointed with this title. It looks great. The voice acting is SUPERB.

But the shit gameplay can't be hidden. Its a bore, the battles feel disconnected from the player (I never feel like I'm connecting with the controls, and it doesn't ever quite feel real time or turn based). I want to like this game, but every time I play it, it gives me reason not to.

In my swapnotes I was still on the fence but now... another wasted $60... back to Fire Emblem.

Heh, I just picked this up yesterday. Put an hour into it today starts slow. I had played the demo and like the gameplay. But if its like Pokemon I would t know, I've never played a Pokemon game. The secret is out.

Never played a Pokemon game?!? Shame on you Triz! lol

I take blame for you falling for the purchase ZeldAnTales. I told you it was a 4/5 on Swapnote going by my impressions while at Triz's.

I say stick at it though. I hear it is real slow going and will hold your hand for the first 12 hours (it's a long game), and throughout that time it will still have its confusion. Eventually the training wheels will come off and you'll start getting deeper into it. The question is if you have the patience to make it that far.

I have about 4 hours in so far, and Im liking it. Its a very traditional JRPG, which im fine with. I like the linear progression and not so fond of open world RPG's.

I agree its linear, but the hand holding is atrocious. I'm really having a hard time dedicating my time to it, I just got Scribblenauts for Wii U... oh and BIT TRIP RUNNER 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 12 hours in and have the while party I think. It's funny how they open the game up to you. Just got the ship and have free reign to do as I wish. I really like it to the point where I might buy the strategy guide so I can learn the damn cauldron secret recipes.

Sounds pretty standard fair for JRPGs...

I finally beat the game last night. Spectacular title in every way. Took me about 45 hours to beat. Only one instance of being underleveled and had to grind for an hour. Was afraid the last boss would make me do it again, but I got it on my 2nd atttempt. There is a surprisingly large amount of content that opens up after you beat the main quest. Dont think Ill go back and do it with the rest on my plate for the month. But I strongly reccomend this title to any person who is a fan of traditional JRPGs. I didnt have the whole party at 12 hours in by the way lol.

Still haven't dived back in since my initial couple of hours. Want to get into it badly but I just don't like the combat.

The combat really opens up once you can tame the familiars. They give endless possibilities to the combat. I only trained 40 of the 400+.
