Will mobile phone gaming kill off systems like the 3DS?
I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

Yes, the 3DS will be the last portable system from Nintendo.

Never, mobile gaming is just a fad and will die off soon.

Probably, unless Nintendo drops their prices.

I do not agree with the reviews for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow -- Mirror of Fate. 70%? No way. I loved the demo and quickly purchased the game yesterday. The value they put on each enemy is a welcome addition and the graphics are pretty detailed. Some ghosting does appear for me when I have the 3D on max, so I suggest turning it down some. The music and boss battles are epic and I've bumped into some pretty creepy enemies so far. You finish bosses and enemies with quicktime events which you may or may not like but it is done sparingly. You won't be sitting there pressing Y, then X, then L, then mashing B just to finish them off. Maybe I'm just starved for a good Castlevania game and this is filling that void but I'm going to put this up there for 3DS Game of the Year candidate. DOWNLOAD!

To sound even more crazy, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is one of my favorite Resident Evil games ever, enjoying it more than the Resident Evil game I actually purchased in Resident Evil: Revelations. Really enjoyed the fast pace and co-op play on this one. Do yourself a favor and DOWNLOAD!

One other retail game for download this week is Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze. I bought a DS Monster High game for my daughter for Christmas. She's having a little trouble moving through a 3D space but still enjoying it. She's starting to get better at racing games so this might be something I get her to improve her skills in that genre. She's completely crazy about Monster High. Any of you got daughters caught up in this franchise? If you do I say DOWNLOAD!
