Will mobile phone gaming kill off systems like the 3DS?
I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

Has anybody bought this yet? I'm in the camp of gamers that absolutely love this game. 71% is way too low to me. It's a perfect balance between the traditional linear 2D Castelvania games and the exploration and item grabs of the newer DS Castlevania titles. I've noticed that there is no longer pushover enemies. You have to really lace into each enemy to advance. Boss battles are truly epic because of this and the addition of quicktime events for dramatic finishes is done sparingly, unlike some other games these days that rely on it religiously. The game really draws you in with the graphics that are better than anything I've seen since RE: Revelations. I haven't noticed any classic Castlevania tunes in the game yet but what has been created for this installment helps ride on your fear of what crazy monster you'll encounter next. The story is told better than the DS titles thanks to the eerie cut scenes that are peppered throughout, but not too long. Time to jump into this franchise again, it's a winner.

5 out of 5

Story is meh still, but it doesn't bother me unlike, say, Uncharted or Tales of... (some of them).
Graphics are a mixed bag, the textures look nice but overall characters look stiff and lacking true emotion. All minor quibbles to me, though honestly because...

The gameplay is solid. Its not entirely Castlevania if you have preconceived notions of what the franchise should be. But they made Judgment, so... why the hate for this game?

I liked the demo but am having a hard time taking the $40 plunge when there are other titles (Lego City & Pandora's Tower) I want a little more on the horizon.

March has become a problem. A lot of good games starting to flow in for Nintendo. Not to mention Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon with what you mentioned. We want more games, they come in, and then we can't afford them all. IT'S ALWAYS A PROBLEM EITHER WAY!

I'm surprised a game like this doesn't get Triz to pick up another 3DS because in some ways it has a God of War feel.

Don't pick on Judgment! I loved that fighter! Part of why I loved it was the online was laggy so I was able to get good putting in my button combos ahead of time and I usually beat my opponent. lol. I guess I like games I'm good at online. Makes me feel gosh darn good about myself, even if it's exploiting a flaw.

I don't know what else I'm going to get this month. I haven't really made up my mind.
