| The guys over at CVG have rode on the current and ongoing "Nintendo is doomed" train like many outlets bashing Wii U, but mysteriously just did a complete 180. Have they been made privy to some hot stuff we'll see at E3? Here's a portion of the ARTICLE: - Quote :
- Which brings me to the Wii U. Regulars at CVG might be aware that I talk down the console's chances in the most definitive language possible whenever asked. Well, from the things I'm hearing, there's a chance I'll soon be added to the reject bin of crazy talking twitter twonks pretty soon.
Hopefully, if we obtain further details from our sources, we'll be in a position to explain more to you soon. But, for now, put it this way: In the past two years there have been moments of disquiet regarding the 3DS and - like an instant magic trick - Nintendo has put an end to this with sudden reveals of significant games that went on to become star performers at Christmas. So let the pundits continue to be part of the reject bin of crazy talking twitter twonks, just don't let that be you. I encourage you to read the full article. It goes into a little detail on the mobile gaming rush that was supposed to kill handhelds and now is in trouble. We were told countless times that handheld gaming was dead and now you don't hear it at all. Just crickets. lol. Hold strong Ninfest Nation! Be strong in the darkest of times! Nintendo still has a number of aces up its sleeve that we are sure to see soon. Just remember. They said Nintendo was doomed since the days of Nintendo 64. Nintendo has proven them wrong countless times and are getting ready to do it again.

| I'm sure I will end up playing the hell outta my U, its just frustrating that it is taking so long for it to become my console of choice. My 3DS is getting tired, dawg. My PS3 hasn't been touched since NiNo Kuni, which I didn't even like. Only gave it a few hours, maybe I'll try to jump back on someday.
Anyway... wonder what this guy saw/played/was paid? lol

| Miyamoto dropped by his office with a fat sack of cash and told him to stop hatin on Ninty. OK maybe that didn't happen but seeing someone that routinely trashes Wii U suddenly talk like Reggie threatened him at gunpoint...you just don't see that very often.
The conspiracy theorist in me thinks Nintendo knew they needed an avalanche of big titles to hit right when the competitors launched hardware so they purposely held back many titles to hit closer to the holiday season

| I agree. Its just a big gamble, pissing off your main base of early adopters. Of course, with the 3DS, it didn't matter after all. | |
