Alleyway

I was talking about this game a couple weeks ago with Triz and remembering how crappy it was. Looking at reviews looks like I'm not alone. Nintendo decided to try there luck out with the tried and true bounce the ball and break bricks gameplay like Arkanoid by throwing in Mario as the guy controlling the paddle and Nintendo character bonus stages. Did not help one bit. The game took me about 4 hours when I finally beat it and with no way to save you have to go it all one try. It was really infuriating when I would get close to the end and get a game over. Oh boy, now I get to start over from the beginning with the same boring gameplay. I can't even remember if there was any bonuses to spice things up. Probably not. It didn't help that the screen had no color to really make the levels look the same. I saw Mario on the box and bought it, but just because Mario is in a game doesn't mean it's gonna be good. 1/5
