Assassin's Creed

Has anybody played these games? I've seen the original pretty cheap in the bargain bin and was considering getting it (and AC2 if I like it).

If you've played it, would you recommend it. I'm quite into the action-adventure game genre and this seems like the most ideal game of that genre on the X-Box 360.

I think Im in the minority, but I really disliked the first one. While it had plenty of fun elements, it felt extremely repetative. So much so that after a few hours I turned it off and never came back to it. I hear part 2 fixes alot of the firsts issues but my distaste for part 1 has kept part 2 out of my hands.

This game gets some pretty decent reviews but everyone I know that's played the game thinks it's awful. Haven't tried it myself though.

I guess putting a pretty face behind a game can influence review scores like the force.
