Will mobile phone gaming kill off systems like the 3DS?
I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

PostSubject: Bongos   Fri Mar 20, 2009 2:00 am

I was at Wal*Mart the other day and I was shocked to not only still see GameCube Bongos for sale, but they were still going for $30 Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation When the GameCube was making way for the Wii I remember a few stores dropping their Bongo prices to make shelf room for the new console. To not only still see the Bongos for sale but at an absurd price made me do a double take. You can't even use the Bongos for any Wii games, not even the one Wii game that should've used them, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast. I wonder if they ever sell. I suppose they sell a few now and then for those utilizing the backwards compatibility of the Wii to play GameCube bongo games like Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. Have any of you recently bought any bongos?

Ah yes I remember playing Donkey Kong with the Bongos. Some are easy and some are too da** hard to beat. But still it is pretty fun to play with some awesome musics.

When I used to own a gamecube I have to admit I never really bothered with the bongos but I remember when the wii was due out seeing the bongos really drop in price but I can't say I have seen any recently so I couldn't comment on the price.

Oh wow. My neighborhood WalMart recently went through a remodeling. So now you'd think those 3 $30 Bongos would be long gone. Nope. STILL...all 3 are sitting on the shelf priced at $30. Been there since I moved here in 2007 and were probably here since 2005. I opened one of them up and they looked used, all dirty and such. No one is going to buy these. How long until they realize this remains to be answered.

I was going to ask someone if I could take them off their hands for super cheap but after seeing how disgusting they looked, I wouldn't pay $2 for 'em.

I bust out the 2 sets when I have lots of family around. The kids love a good Bongo competition.
