| I sure loved my E-Reader. It was sad that it was a failure much like the Virtual Boy. If Nintendo could have released it sometime early in the original GameBoy era it would have been much more successful. By the time it came to the GameBoy Advance technology was much more advanced and just about everyone had a computer in their home. This lead to easy reproduction of the bar codes on the E-Reader cards and were spread over the internet at no charge, thus dooming E-Reader card sales. I tried to collect all the E-Reader cards. I came close. It was thanks to the large amount of Animal Crossing E-cards that this would be a losing effort. But I managed to get all the games to extend the life of my E-Reader as much as I can. | |

| I absolutely loved my E-reader! I had a decent collection of the classic videogame cards and several of the Animal Crossing and Pokemon cards. Sounds like your collection quite eclipsed my own, but I thought it was a great addition. It's a shame it was not used more as it had a lot of potential in my opinion. (It also took a lot of money.) I'm thinking the peripheral had a Mario Party game for it as well. Tell me if I'm wrong or right. | |

| No you're right. It did have a Mario Party game. Hold on...I have to dig it out of my peripheral cabinet........ There. That took some digging. They were all the way in the back. I'm in E-Reader heaven right now. It's all coming back to me. The Mario Party game was like a board game but with e-reader events. There were certain cards that allowed you to duel another player to an e-reader mini game. It kind of broke up the action on the game board. You stopped, slid the cards in your readily available GameBoy Advance with E-Reader attached and took turns playing a mini game. It comes with 64 cards and a play mat. I had a lot of fun with this game. You have to try to find it on Ebay.
I also found my Pokemon e-reader trading card game (Ruby theme deck). I don't know if you have this one but it came with everything you needed to get started. 60 pokemon cards, 1 holographic foil card, 1 Pokemon coin, rulebook, card list and damage counters. Another great game to have. It took the regular trading card game and spiced it up with special e-reader mini games. Loved it.
I also found a small set of Pokemon Channel cards. Yeah I know. Pokemon Channel. The cards came with the GameCube game and you could scan them to unlock content in the game.
Going through them right now...bunch of Animal Crossing, Pokemon Battle, Game & Watch Manhole, Air Hockey, a FoxBox Kirby puzzle card, lots of Super Mario Advance 4 (Super Mario Bros. 3) cards, Urban Champion, Tennis, Pinball, Mario Bros, Ice Climber, Golf, Excite Bike, Donkey Kong 3, Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong, Clu Clu Land, Baseball, and Balloon Fight.
If it wasn't so late I'd start into some scanning fun right now! I wonder if I'm missing any. If you see any holes in my collection, then I need to hit Ebay for the missing cards. But nevermind Animal Crossing. There were like 5 sets each containing...I don't know...70 cards I'm guessing. Too much.

| Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh I've been trying to collect all the E-reader cards as possible, but now you can only get them at e-bay which is 1. kinda pointless and 2. Some cards that you don't have before! One time I saw Super Mario Bros. 3 e-reader cards that are Wal-Mart exclusives only (I think there are 5 exclusives cards) and I tried to tell my mom that I want to buy them with my own money, but she suddenly ignored me and I was ticked. Seriously those cards are quite rare and I do want all of them including Animal Crossing, one more nintendo card called Baseball, Pokemon cards related to e-reader and much more. *sigh* man I wish my parents will let me buy every single one of them. Technically I know that I can't get all at once . Hoping they will say at least a few things about this wonderful E-reader itself someday. | |

| Oh um......did you know that they also have a bonus card called Air Hockey E-reader Card? Well all there is is just battleing the Air Hockey from your computer opponent and that's about it. From Easy-Hard.
So what do you guys think?

| Yeah I have that Air Hockey card. Not fun at all. If only there was a way to get two people to play on it. Can't remember how I got it. Did it come free with the E-Reader or some other product? | |

| I think the best experience one could have with the E-Reader is the special board game Mario Party. It was made just for the E-Reader, while all the other games were just old NES games, sans the Pokemon set. But the Mario Party e-reader game was new. Very fun! It made sense too since Mario Party takes place on a game board. Just take the game board out of the game and into your living room, and still play the mini games on the TV. | |

| How did the cards work in Super Mario 3 on GBA? Was it basically like a Game Genie and let you bust out a Frog Suit or P-Wing whenever you wanted? Infinite Frog or Hammer suits would rock. The absolute best, though would be the ability to use Kuribo's Shoe on more than one stage. | |

| You can scan an item card and it will end up in your inventory, selectable on the map screen. I don't think there was a Kuribo's Shoe card. | |

| I think so. So you could give yourself 3 pages of P-Wings if you wanted to. Not confirmed though. I'd have to try it out. | |

| I used to do that too. I'd also try to go through them all with the Hammer Bros. Suit. I think I beat Bowser as Hammer Bros. Mario before, but not as Frog Mario. | |
