| So far for me the best looking game Ive seen shown. Naughty Dog are masters of thier craft and I cant wait to play it. Then I go check my email and those guys sent me an invite to the multiplayer beta that starts tomorrow. Ill report back with the online impressions later. | |

| Shit, I forgot about this thread. Online co-op is a blast. 3 players jumping from rooftops, barely hanging on ledges, all the while popping guys heads off with a pistol. Didnt care for the deathmatch mode, this game isnt based around that gameplay, and it really felt tacked on. Objective game modes really shined. so for me 2/3 of the game modes are an added bonus to what is garunteed to be a stellar single player experience. Side note, they nailed the online party system. I wish more PS3 games would work on this, cause it simulates a xbox 360 online experience which is so much better than 90% of the ps3 online games. | |

| Wii you still be able to play this game when I come to town? I'd really like to see this game running in person. I have a feeling I'm going to miss out. | |

| I played for 10 hours straight yesterday, some single player campaign, alot of online multiplayer. Game of the year Im calling it now. If you were to ask me right now, Id say my favorite game of all time. Give it some time for that feeling to wear off but it is really that good. Havent had this much fun with a game in a very long time. | |

Congratulations to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. It's rare that a game can be the big draw at E3 and then live up to the hype to get game of the year. I'm quite impressed. No Wii titles up for GOTY... . Didn't surprise me though. Nintendo has never gotten a fair shake on this awards show since it started.

| streex buddy i have to say i think you are doing your self a disservice by not owning a ps3. your missing out on a LOT of really great exp's. i hope by now you know im not a fanboy of any system nore a hater of any...well sept the VB that was just a bad idea lol, and while my opinion is just that, an opinion its one not based on any BS fanboyism. the ps3 has a lot of really great games. The first year the ps3 was out iv heard the game line up was pretty meh which is why i bought a wii first MP3 and smg rocked . I got my ....*first* " " ps3 just after GTA4 came out and sense then i dont think iv had a stretch of time go by when there was not at least one game that i really wanted that was not out or very near release.its just had a pretty steady stream of high end games. so far its def one of my fav consoles iv owned and iv had most of them lol.though i dont know if it beats out the snes as i loved that system and after all it had the best game ever made on it "ff3/6 " I know you love ninty and im def not trying to take any thing what so ever away from the wii or convert you or any thing lol :p but the ps3 just has such a ......plethora "three amigos reference ftw" of really great high end games that i hate to see some one miss out on them. And again im not trying to say the ps3 is such a better system than what the wii or 360 is ect ect. just that the ps3 has a really killer line up of must play games and i think you might want to check a few of them out. | |

| All the systems have a great lineup of games for them. I just seem to have the most fun with the games from Nintendo. I've come close to buying a PS3 a few times, but then I look over at a game or two on the Wii I want and I get them instead. It's a never ending vicious cycle...
I would get all my 360 and PS3 gaming at a friends house, but where I live they all own Wii's. I'd have to move back to Cali for the multi console friends to educate me. Rich bastards...j/k.
For the record though I'd never get a 360. The hardware is too fragile. With that said I'll burn myself by admitting my second Wii is starting to have issues.

| PS3 definitely wins out in the high-end category, as Wildcard said. More often than not I am still not interested, but by leaps and bounds is the ps3 better than that god awful 360. I suppose it isn't the console/games I hate as much as the makers.
The absolute rudeness and incoherent, unintelligent drivel I put up with on M$ help line is/was inexcusable, and it helped me decide to NEVER own another M$ product ever.
Obviously the 360 has some upsides, but as Streex said the console itself breaks so often its just not worth the headache. Why do all my other systems still work? Seriously, my launch Dreamcast still works.
Ok ok I clean all my systems about once a month, not many people do that (especially when you have 30+!) but not even my consistent cleaning and ultra care saved the 2, yes TWO, 360's I went through in about 6 weeks. Pathetic.
Also, Wildcard, FF3/6 is yer fav SNES game? Good choice! In yer opinion did you like 6 better than 7??? I'll start a new thread for that question!

To be fair iv heard from a lot of 360 users that the newer systems dont go belly up as bad but still. Also one thing i can say for M$ is that they have by far the best warranty.1 year on all issues and 3 years for the more common problems like RRoD or so iv heard. from what iv seen the 360 has a very good line up of games but IMHO the ps3's line up has out paced them the last couple years and i think all things considerd the ps3 is the best bang for the buck.

Iv had nothing but trouble from all the systems with disk drives iv ever owned. 2 ps1, 1 ps2, 1 gamecube, and 1 ps3 have all had disk drives fail on me and my wii is makeing clicking noises and scratchs disk if i try to use it with the stand. And i take VERY good care of my systems and disk, its not like i miss treat them. My snes and sega gen work 100% to this day. my n64 and atari jag gave me zero trouble. the only disk based system not to die on me was my DC but i only kept it for 4 years but it still out lasted the rest. And yea i liked ff6 better than 7. I loved 7,8 and 9 but ff6 is and prob will always be my all time fav game bar none. that game was perfect for me. the characters, music, story dialog were just right and just set such a mood that no game has equaled for me. from a tech stand point of course the graphics are far from the best iv seen but they did such a great job with the art style ect that even today, even after playing so many breath taking looking games i still smile when i look at some of the scenes in ff6. its a shame "for me" that the FF games took a nose dive after ff9. i hated ff10 and up. have not played ff13 yet but from what iv seen and read i doubt i'll be impressed.

I found their warranty full of holes, and ways to not help me. When I got mine there was a 1 year warranty, and nothing else. They didn't start giving people the 3 year thing until after 20% of their systems in the market failed. I, unfortunately, am one of those stats where I got screwed before the policy change. F%^$ M$ is all I gotta say lol. As far as disc drive-based systems, you are def. right. They just cannot last as long as the old systems because of their circuitry and parts... Though I never had a Gamecube crap out on me, and I have dropped one from a box onto concrete from the top of my Econoline van and it survived!

| Yea, i dont have any exp with M$ warrenty i was just going by what iv heard around msg boards ect. knowing MS i have no doubt that they have ways of getting out of replacing systems. there is one guy who has at last count had 13 or 14 360's go bad on him. iirc he works at kotaku or some wear. people did not beleave him so he recorded a call to M$ tech support and got the tech to read back a list of his RMA's and sure enough lol. of course im sure thats a rare case but from what iv read and heard its not at all uncommon for early adopters to be on there 3rd,4th and higher 360. iirc What happend is when M$ was designing the 360 they got so far as to have a layout of the componints and the case design ect but near the end of the devlopment M$ kept adding things last minute untill the hardware was so packed in the casing ect it just could not handle the heat.at least thats basicly what an ex-M$ guy said who helped in the design of the 360. he said something about how a number of the designers kept telling the head guys at M$ that they needed to let them use a bigger case and that it was going to need more/better cooling but the head guys at M$ would not let them, do to time constraints. | |

That definitely sound like M$. My launch GameCube is still going strong too and I used the crap out of it. WildCard...were you the one that told me about a new PS3 problem some are calling the Yellow Ring of Death? (YRoD)
