Will mobile phone gaming kill off systems like the 3DS?
I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

Yes, the 3DS will be the last portable system from Nintendo.

Who here follows this great site? I have been visiting the site for years and now it pretty much comprises the library of my MP3 player. The quality of the remixes can vary from meh to jaw droppingly good. (for the latter, listen to one of Kate Covington's remixes, preferably Rose of May from FFIX) Anyways, it is always great to discover some nostalgic tune that just makes you smile ear to ear. Streex will tell you that I am a huge fan of game music. Any other people like me out there?

Huge fan of game music? Count me in. Most of my mp3 is filled with game music. Original renditions though. I've never visited this site but I always run into their remixes everywhere I go. Very good stuff. VERY. I honestly didn't know of the website until know. Thanks for the post.

Yeah I remember that one from maybe around couple of years and I liked some of the remixes. But then again, it's hard for me to listen to almost every video games remixes that I could find all hours. Well it doesn't have to be all of it I'm just saying just only the games that I liked.

Not a remix fan, has to be done VERY tastefully. Unfortunately, most are not good enough for my standards. Even on a professional scale.

I love game music, though I think gamers may give it more credit than it deserves. That has changed more and more as we are seeing more/most games come with orchestrated soundtracks.

8-bit tunes are cool, but as a musician I find them ultimately unrewarding. It is programming, not scoring. IMO Smile

Nice site, never heard of it.

I think with game music sounding just as good if not better than most mainstream music today, they should be honored at some of these big music award shows.
