Thank you. Praise and constructive criticism is always appreciated. This is a fan made site. No relation to any corporation. If you have visited the Contact Us Channel you'll see it's a product of me (Streex) and Cheator. It all started when I was watching Attack of the Show one night and they were talking about different website programs and my wheels started to spin. 'That would be awesome if I started a website.' It had always been something I wanted to do, but seemed too difficult and I never had the time. This time however I went to Cheator and told him I'm serious about this and we should get this thing going. So we threw ideas at each other and I started building the site back in September last year. It took a while to get it all put together. I'm glad you like the homepage layout. I was really excited when I came up with the idea of creating a wii channel page as the main layout of the home page. It might not be for everyone, but it works. Finally late in January we were ready to publish and that was when Ninfest was born. Triz was one of the first to add some recommendations and told me to put up some ads and forums, so I got to working on that. Along the way I branched off and put together a shop and we finally got the first podcast up. So far so good. Cheator has a little addiction you might know as World of Warcraft so his contributions have been limited. But we just got together for the podcast!
I live in Cypress and I'm married with a beautiful 2 year old daughter. I've been Nintendo faithful since the beginning. Before that I did have an Atari 7800, but the NES came and it's been nothing but Nintendo consoles since. I guess you could label me a fanboy. I try to keep open minded with the other consoles even though I don't own them, but I unintentionally let a bash slip now and then.
The magazine idea came of late. It wouldn't be anything big. In fact, if it's something we put together, it will probably be only 4 issues a year, the first one being only about 20 pages and be a free publication that I send out to all the registered forum users who put themselves on the mailing list. We don't have high expectations for it but if by chance it turns out to be a bigger success than we could have imagined, sky's the limit.
I'm glad I put this site up. We have a small group right now but in a way it kind of feels like we're a gamer family over here. You all have stirred some great conversation and I love it. I do however look forward to more gamers finding us and joining us in some great discussions. It's actually a lot of fun running this site! But it's because of you guys that I enjoy doing this. Thank you!
