MONDAY JULY 5th - MarioKart????

I know I have the whole day off tomorrow and I am spending it gaming, that is for damn sure. If anyone wants to Kart, or Streex if you have time to Dragonquest it up... Smash Bros... Anything.

For some reason that gets me disconnected very frequently. I have all firewalls off, called my internet provider who assures me everything is working, gives me error 86420 all the time. But if I create or join a room, no problem. Don't understand it...

That is truly odd. Especially since you have a new Wii and a fixed old Wii, it seems like your going about it the right way to figure out what is wrong. It doesn't seem like an issue on Nintendo's end to me either.

I've read online about that same problem, because I get the same error sometimes
when i Play super smash bro's. What happens is when the wii is turned on, all data
sending/receiving components of the wii's wireless internet receiver are being used.
The Wii is constantly receiving information from all the different channels such as
the news, wii shop, mario kart, and other such channels which push the limit of the
wireless internet receiver inside the wii. When the limit of the receiver is met, the
receiver starts to heat up.
To stop the overheating problem, Nintendo installed a safety
procedure that shuts off the biggest sending or receiving program which is more than
likely the game you are playing online. The wii normally allows you to play online after
10-30 minutes of cool down time. So the bigger the game or the more people playing
in the game, the more data being sent and received thus over heating your wireless
internet receiver. The launch wii's are notorious for this, and even still the newer wii's
aren't much better.
It also depends on your router and the temperature in your house.
Even a cooling fan for your wii doesn't always solve the problem. It's honestly an
unavoidable problem. Also Nintendo's servers for its games are small, so it also could be
you have the worst connection so it boots you from the server first. Mario Kart wii
is known to have full servers allllot.

This problem actually occurs a lot in all the major game systems, it's just sony and microsoft
have people monitoring the servers, and the servers are bigger.
