Menacer

Who had a Menacer? It was for the Genesis and I never tried it, but it always appeared to me as a total copy of the Super Scope. The colors and the aiming reticle seemed to be pulled from the Super Scope. In actually looks to me like a redesigned Super Scope. It did look cool and always wanted to try it out. If you've gotten your menace on with the Menacer, how does it stack up to the Super Scope?

They both sucked. Razz

The Zapper for NES still tops em both in terms of functionality and games.
I dont have one of these anymore... and its not worth the $$ to replace it as not many Genesis games were good enough to warrant purchase.

Super Scope beat it with 11 supported games to the Menacer's 9, which is plenty of support for me.

I know you hate the Super Scope so I'll rephrase the question. Which peripheral sucked less?

Id have to say I liked the Scope better. They both worked about the same, but the game selection was better for the SNES.

Honestly the Genesis is a bit overrated in terms of how many great games it had. Most of them were good ideas for games with shitty execution.

So that's a Menacer eh? Not bad, but not great. As how I always say.
