| First impressions... I know they said they did the graphics like this on purpose but they look kinda goofy. Minor complaint though.
Feels smooth, responsive, and, I'm happy to report, the Zapper is my favorite way to play. I suck, so maybe there is something to do with that, but, I find it very intuitive. Its highly customizable, too!
The music is crap, like, it actually kinda bugs me but the voice acting is the bee's knees.
Reviews are giving it 9s so I see but I hold on to my hater-ade and give it 7.5 becase I played it 15 years ago.

| I'm not sure what to rate this yet. I'm retraining myself how to use a controller for use in a FPS. Since it was bundled with the Gold Classic Controller Pro that is the way I want to get good at it. I'm going to play around with it using the Zapper too. That thing needs to get used more. I like the fluid transition between gameplay and cut scenes, music is nice, but the online seems to be fleshed out nicely.
Did you get the controller bundle ZeldAnTales?

| Actually, my bass player bought it, not me. No way in hell I'm sinking $50 into an Activision game. They haven't earned it. | |

| I bought it Saturday at Best Buy while talking to Streex on the phone. I think he mind-controlled me.
So far I love it. No multiplayer yet, though. From what I've seen in the manual, though, I'm not liking what I see. I loved the multiplayer options in games like Perfect Dark, and especially Time Splitters 2. This game looks like a step backwards, which is, I guess, what they were going for?
At any rate, I really do like it so far. I gotta disagree with Zeldan. I love the music so far. Hopefully it will eventually get the Perfect Dark music out of my head, which I can still hear even as I type this.
It has optional friend codes, right? We'll have to post those in here.

| Antilles and I tried this online tonight. Got my cheeks handed to me. Antilles led our team but we got beat pretty bad. We were the Russians. Doesn't look like you can do split screen multiplayer online. Lot's of people playing this right now. We had a full 8 player game connected within seconds. | |

| It is really only 8-player, sadly. If your question is, "only Deathmatch," though, there are plenty of modes beyond Deathmatch. Just nowhere near as many as more modern multiplayer FPS.
I am enjoying it, though. I look forward to more games with Streex. Anyone else want to set up a weekly game?

| Only 8, but the same frantic 4 player local split screen. The game is lacking but having some fun with it right now.
Antilles, put your code in the friend code thread so it doesn't get lost in the posts here.

| Holding on to my 7.5 evaluation. It is fun and I realize it is "dated" for a reason but- some stuff is just boring for me. Certainly don't like this enough to pay $50.
8 player deathmatch, what's the big deal? How many idiots do you want to play against? LOL God I feel like if there were more I'd get my ass handed to me even moreso.

| True, 8 is plenty. There's always something wrong with an online game on Wii right Triz? lol. If it had 12 you would have scoffed that it didn't have 16. If it had 16 then a reference would have popped up to a PS3 game that can support 32.
It's true the dated feel is done purposely in an effort to give it some nostalgia while adding enough new content to keep it fresh for the current gen.

| I suppose you're all right. Despite the massive amounts of options and modes in Smash Bros, we mostly just play standard Brawl. Fun is fun. | |

| Im just saying 8 player deathmatch is severly limited, theres no reason why it should'nt support 16.
P.S. MAG on PS3 runs with 256 player matches.

| Why is 8 so limiting? Couldn't you argue that both 8/16 have their good qualities? Perhaps some people like a smaller group to play against. I prefer 4 myself...
...so it really is trivial right?

| Trivial to me since online is an added bonus in my book. I understand online plays a bigger part in FPS games than any other genre, still...an added bonus. I'd rather have the offline campaign be fleshed out more so when the servers go down years from now there is still a lot of game to go back to.
They could have really made it true to the original and not included online at all.

No. No they couldn't. It's sparse enough on features as it is. Without online, it would get torn apart in reviews and sales would be dismal. Lack of online might be fine for you, but not for most. I can get by with 8 player, but 16 is really the sweet spot for team games. (And still leaves you able to limit it to 8 if you prefer!) 16 is enough to have 8 player teams for CTF-type games, but not so many that games feel too crowded. Would people complain that it wasn't 32 or 64 or 246? A few, but not so many. In the early days of online FPS, each new game boasted more and more players until it got to the point where games actually started scaling that back, and even games that allowed such a large number of players in theory did not have any games that used that many. Most servers stuck to 16 or 32 players.

| Oh yeah- played night-before-last with friends. Stayed up until 3 am. Absolutely as fun as the original. Try turning on Singularity while playing teams. Just don't drink anything; it will come out of your nose. | |
