Ok. I am sick of this shit. The first two console games on PS2 were fun. The story was for friggin' anime tards but the game was fun enough it didn't bother me.

But there are seriously like 2 KH games a year, and none of them come close to the first 2. The GBA game was... aggravating though enjoyable at times. The DS game felt like a mission driven extension of 2, the PS2 remake of Chains was... well, the same, but in 3d. And the PSP game I just can't get into because the PSP sucks so bad in my hands.

Where is our next console version?!?!??!

I haven't played any of them yet but have 358/2 Days sitting in the backlog. I plan to get Re:coded in January. 358/2 days was voted game of the year in 2009 by the Nintendo Power readers (as you and I talked about in the chatbox) so it can't be that bad. Although reading your displeasure does make me a little worried.

Im sure Streex is fine missing out on tons of games. He was man enough to stick it out with the Nintendo 64 and not get another system, Im sure it will continue for the rest of his life.

That is crazy! Streex- why the blind Nintendo loyalty? Don't get me wrong, I find they are the best for me too but... SO many games, and I can tell you right now they are better than Babysitting Mama or Flingsmash, both games you bought. lol

If I get you a PS2 would you play it?

LOL you guys. There is just so many great games on Nintendo consoles I'm more than kept busy with what limited time I have to game. My backlog backs me up. If I ever ended up with another console, sure I'd play it (I'm not a hater), but I can honestly say that it wouldn't get as much playing time as my Wii.

Babysitting Mama is a lot of fun with my daughter. Haven't plugged in FlingSmash yet.

As far as the Nintendo 64 years...if you remember Triz, the last 2 years of its life I fell out of gaming. At that point in my life I was more involved with partying. I couldn't keep up with Nintendo 64 let alone any other console.

Sorry I sound like such a fanboy. I really want to talk myself into getting a PS3 and Xbox360, but then a bunch of great new titles come out for the Wii and...there goes the money.

I'm with Streex. Yes, Zeldan, "a bunch." Don't forget, Streex's standards are a little low, and also, for some of us, we don't need a new game a week to be satisfied. Wii and DS keep us plenty busy- especially when we're already backlogged from previous Nintendo consoles.

In fact, I can play the previous two Kingdom Hearts any time I am willing to go borrow the games and system from my sister. I would do it, too, but the thing is, I'd end up keeping their system for a year or two before I got around to beating them. I really wish they'd remake or port those for, say, 3DS!

Hmm, let's see, just among recent and coming soon titles...

Mario Galaxy 2
Goldeneye 007
Call of Duty Black Ops
The Conduit 2
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Epic Mickey
Mario Sports Mix
AYIM
Lego Harry Potter (some people love that stuff, anyway,)
DKC Returns
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Metroid: Other M
DJ Hero 2 (not my cup of tea, but still high quality)
NBA Jam, (yes, other systems got an improved version, but only a fool would try to say this isn't an excellent game.)
Sin and Punishment
Sonic Colors
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

I probably missed a few, and you would probably try to argue with some of those, but my point is made. It's not exactly a game a week, but for those of us with a life, it's more than we can possibly buy, let alone beat. Anyway, enjoy your laugh.

So just because my ability as a gamer is far superior to yours I have no life? Excuse me, I didn't know I wasn't in 2 bands, working, raising three kids, and a thousand other things that to you apparently don't constitute a life.

Why am I defending myself anyway, Streex and I were just teasing each other and you have to come in and try to make a point. A useless point. Way to go.

Also of the list you gave me here are the ones I've already beaten so far this year:

Mario Galaxy 2 - DONE
Epic Mickey - Soon enough. Wink
AYIM - 3 hours of gameplay, try to make it through Antilles.
Lego Harry Potter - dont love it but my bro does. Easy to beat.
DKC Returns - 6 days is all it took.
Kirby's Epic Yarn - Pathetically easy, to the point where I stopped playing.
Metroid: Other M - Done!
NBA Jam - I'd say this isnt excellent its a rehash and an easy one, too. Beat all the tours in a few weeks with the band.
Sin and Punishment - Not beat yet, give me time this shit is hard.
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - Done.

Yeah gee uh... yeah.

I apologize for insinuating that you do not have a life. (As a side note, I fail to see how excessive time playing constitutes superior ability.) I only mean that anyone who doesn't consider that enough good games needs to make better use of their time. There's more than enough there for any reasonable amount of gaming. Maybe such people could spend some more time with the kids. (Other than playing video games, which is fine, but outdoor and other physical activities are better. Plus reading books. Anyway, I digress.)

Perhaps I misunderstood your intentions, and again, I apologize, but I'm sick of hearing how there are no good games for Wii. My point stands for anyone who wants to continue to try and argue that there are no good games for Wii. That's just nonsense. 20 too many good games a year or 200 too many good games a year hardly makes a difference. I still end up buying and playing the same number.

Dude. Just stop. No one is saying there are not good Wii games. I was merely telling Streex that Kingdom Hearts is a franchise I know he'd totally get down with. Basically, you butt in with your two cents but I don't think you bothered to read the whole thread. Then insult me without reason or knowledge, then try to be ambiguous about it by saying "such people" etc. and other obvious crap.

Guys guys! We're all Nintendo gamers here! Save this for the M$ and Sony forums! We're family!

But back to the games. Tons of great games. This was probably Nintendo's best holiday software push since the Wii launched. Not just from Nintendo, but third party too. Then you got to throw in the fact that I love my peripherals...a mountain of those released the last few months... and my money and time is spent.

I understand you're angry, so I'll ignore the harsh treatment. Again, it seems, I was unclear. There was nothing ambiguous about what I said. If you were someone who was actually saying there aren't plenty of good Wii games, then what I said applies to you.

However, after rereading what you said, (yes, I read the whole thread to begin with, though I don't always before I butt in with my 2 cents. Often it's more like 2 haypennies, anyway,) I can see that was clearly not what you were saying. For one thing, I missed the smiley you put on your post, and for another I also failed to see where that is funny when applied to Streex and his dubious choices of game purchases.

When I thought you were making a wholly unfounded statement about the quality/quantity of Wii titles, it just set me off on what has been bugging me for a long time. I went off half-cocked on someone who didn't deserve it, and I hope you'll accept my apology.

Even after I understood, I continued on because I'd already gotten it out there, so I figured I might as well finish for anyone else who might read this. Again, it wasn't directed at you, Zeldan, ambiguously or otherwise. It was worded that way to apply to anyone who is serious about such statements. I can see how it could be misinterpreted, though, so I'm sorry. Are we cool?

Yeah man we're cool. I guess it wasn't obvious to others, Streex and I tease each other pretty often so I guess my bad.

Wii is my favorite console this generation hands down. Plent of good games, but as an avid gamer I can handle as many good titles as they can throw at me!

I agree with ya Streex- this holiday has been pretty spectacular.

So much love permeating in those last few posts that I'm going to rename this the Brokeback Ninfest Mountain thread. Laughing

It also upsets me (more like disappoints) when I hear someone say there is no good games for Wii. After this holiday season and looking back at the 4 years of quality games that are already out there, there's no way someone that has only tried one or two Wii games can sit there and tell us there's nothing on Wii. At this point they would easily be labeled a blind hater.

Streex you reference Brokeback quite often... :O

As for quality games on Wii, I will say this: Of the ones I own, not quite as many are MUST PLAY as opposed to Anthony loved other iterations of franchise OR decided to give it a shot (I'm looking at you, Dewie's Adventure and Elebits).

I have 47 physical Wii games, and of that 47 only... Arc Rise Fantasia, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Excitetruck, Epic Mickey, Twilight Princess, Little King's Story, Metroid: Other M, NSMBW, SMG 1-2, Brawl, Tatsunoko, and Wii Fit are really MUST PLAYS in my book. 13/47...
Not that I should expect all 47 to be top drawer. LOL

And the Wii is almost done in temrs of life-cycle... But its not fair to criticize the lack of good fresh games because, well, the industry doesn't wanna take chances.

And THAT is why I am a Nintendo man, of all the companies, the big N seems to make the most effort into putting out games that are strange, kitsch, etc. In other words, games that are tailored for me. No online multiplayer with new weapons that look like real guns bro! required.

Elebits was a fantastic game. I think it was a must play for anyone growing with the Wii as devs were experimenting with motion control. It's been done a million times over by now but at the time that was top shelf.

Saying you have about 13 must play games sounds about right. I'm guessing there's another 13 in that collection that include games you love that most may not, like Wii Music. And so on.

That's what makes each persons game collection unique. Everybody will have the same set of games at the top, and from there you see personal tastes show up where you might find games in your collection that aren't in your friends' collection.

Then there are the really weird people that have a game like PopStar Guitar in their collection for a lame peripheral...these gamers should be shot.

Can't be much worse than us Mr. Z. In our first play I led our team...to a loss. Then I usually ended up in the middle or bottom of the pack. Our team only won twice.
