| I'll start off by saying this game has some of the most beautiful graphics and sound I've experienced on the 3DS. What I'm disappointed with is the story and character development. It is quite over the top but doesn't really go anywhere. Some of the dialog doesn't make sense in some parts which I think is just a localization issue. The streetpass feature is a nice addition. I still get random items everytime I go to Triz's house since he once played my copy on his 3DS. Kinda helps having an extra herb everytime I go into battle. When comparing this with Mercenaries I have to say Mercenaries is the better game, but that's probably because I like the more fast paced zombie killing action. This true to form slower gameplay has its scary moments but mostly because of anticipation of turning a corner and running into something ferocious. Usually though it's just another empty hall I have to walk through. Recommended for diehard Resident Evil fans, everyone else should get Mercenaries....like me! lol. | |

| You have Mercenaries?
Anyway, the cheesy dialogue is a RE staple. It's part of the series's charm. The story is typical Japanese environmental/anti-American BS, but amusing nonetheless. It's still great fun to play. Also, it has its own mercs mode, which is just as fast-paced, though it's versus crazy monsters instead of humanoids.

| No I don't have Mercenaries. I was trying to say that if I like Mercs better I should probably own it by now. | |

| I'll try. I seem to be too busy these days. Spare time gets filled up fast!
I finally beat this game and I am happy that there are eventually scary parts that made me jump! First time I encountered the water enemies that swim underwater and come up to attack caught me off guard. The female whining sounds they make is pretty creepy too. Plus that final trek to the last boss had me on the edge of my seat.
Don't know if you guys experienced this but I was a bit disappointed with the cut scenes. Sometimes the video and audio would be off so bad that I would be hearing Chris talk, but Jill's mouth would be moving. Not a game killer since it's just a cut scene but takes me out of the moment.
Overall I'm thinking this game is a 3.5 / 5 just like part 4.
