| I thought it was awesome! Adventure Time: Hey Ice King? Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! plays like Zelda 2 but I love this so much more with the charm and humor that it brings. Download!
A demo for Art of Balance TOUCH! is also up this week which I already bought and it's boring. Pass.

| Streex... what is to hate about Zelda 2 then? The lack of humor, or the difficulty? | |

| I was so frustrated with the controls in Zelda 2. When a game is that difficult I don't want to feel like I was beaten because my character didn't do what I wanted. I want to feel truly beaten by the enemy or boss. I liked the music the most even though there were only a handful of songs. But the constant beat downs I got from it made me not really care about what would come next because I know what would come next would beat me down harder. I'd need to be even quicker on my thumbs and my character will not respond as I want him to. I found myself clawing through this game (eventually beat it), but instead of being glad with a sense of achievement, it was more of a "good riddance" moment. It's but one Zelda game. All the others are awesome. Adventure Time is fun, humorous, and the character you get to control is given enough mobility and attack finesse to match the task at hand. Plus there's a nice variety of simple weapons and enhancements. Might be blasphemous, but I think Adventure Time is better than Zelda 2. | |

| Well I doubt you are right but its your call. I do not remember the controls for Zelda 2 being anything but fluid, though I suppose the rhythm wasn't BLATANTLY imposed. Oh well, you didn't like it and thats ok, just seems so... out of character for you. lol | |

| The most dedicated Zelda fans will love it but I think it's the lowest rated Zelda game with scores between 72 - 79%. That's pretty low for a Zelda game. I hate to hate, believe me, but it's just my opinion. I love all the other Zelda games! Well...Link's Crossbow Training wasn't that great.
What are your thoughts on Zelda 2 Z?

| Dedication has little to do with it. Some people only like that one Zelda game. As for its rating, if you think for a minute I trust the mean (or median, whatever, pretty sure is the mean... average if you will) of raging internet assholes OR bubbly half-witted journalists you're crazy. No one's opinion but mine really influences my gaming habits.
I am one of those guys that will know nothing about a game, but like the cover and take a chance. Whether Tommy Fartcheese and his Metacritic info is high or not doesn't even enter my brain as an afterthought.
As for Zelda 2, I love it quite a bit. Loved the controls, the difficulty, the settings, the music. All of it built on the mythos of the previous game for me.

| It's definitely the black sheep in the franchise, and it didn't sit well with me. I'm glad they went back to the original formula with A Link to the Past. That game was crazy good and readdicted me to Zelda gaming.
I agree with you on the ratings on the interwebs. I usually don't go by them either, although I do pay attention to them. There are countless games I've loved that the "professionals" hated. I think if there is one franchise that continues to give the finger to the reviewers it's Just Dance. Game continues to sell millions with each iteration. If sales were predetermined by review scores this game would never have a chance.

| I'm not "glad" they went back to the "usual" Zelda formula for LttP, though I enjoyed the game. I kinda want them to revisit Zelda2's style and gameplay again just to see what they could do with it. | |
