Will mobile phone gaming kill off systems like the 3DS?
I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

    Cyberbike Wii-Excercise-Game-Comes-With-A-Bicycle

Okay, the Wii accessories are getting a little ridiculous, lol. A company called Big Ben Interactive is planning to release a Wii exercise game this winter that comes with a full size bicycle peripheral.

Cyberbike urges you to exercise by providing you with 18 different circuits, three game modes (Fitness, Story, and Multiplayer) and the ability to "cycle along on some of the most improbable vehicles ever imagined—on land, sea and air."

The game comes out in January, in Europe at least -- no word yet on a North American release. Also, no word yet on the price... I gotta imagine it's gonna be steep, though. Bikes don't come cheap!

Believe it or not; I'm sure it's going to sell like crazy. Anything Wii seems to ctahc on pretty fast, no matter how extreme the accessories may seem.

Doesn't look too bad, either. But I definitely won't touch it.

    -chokes on food laughing-

Now riding a bike is as simple as watching TV. 0_0

I have to admit, though, the Wii is getting even more awesome.

I want this. It was never announced for North America but hoped it eventually would be. Does anybody know the status of this peripheral? Has it been released outside the states and any word of it eventually making it here?

Well at least that's something to use for Mario Kart Wii.

I read that article awhile back but I was hoping for an update. I read it again and noticed the January launch date. Maybe it's just for Europe and never meant for America. Oh well...region locking means this is one peripheral I'm going to have to pass on.

Streex: I saw them for sale and have read some reviews, here's what I came up with-

    1. Its use in Mariokart is limited to 1-player from what I could tell.
    2. It's like $200 for us to order it from Europe, as shipping will rape you.

Region locking is easy to get around if you soft mod your Wii, I did it and unmodded it because as much as I liked playing Jap games on my Wii, my warranty would have been void (luckily it was a softmod!) and I am actually anti-modding, for the most part.

I steer clear of any modding. Never tried. Thanks for the help though. I think I can live without this bike. I hope.

The picture hcfwesker posted above is the european model. This is the US model:
    Cyberbike Cyberbike_bike

It truly is a necropost Monday for me. Somebody in peripheral heaven was looking out for me because I got this bike. Came out in the states back in June 2011. Well... it does work. Does everything it's supposed to do, but one big problem. The magnetic resistance doesn't offer enough resistance. I crank it up to maximum but it's just not enough. The workout it provides with the game is moderate. I'll work up a slight sweat but nothing exhausting.

    I'll give this peripheral a 3.2 / 5.
