Will mobile phone gaming kill off systems like the 3DS?
I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

Yes, the 3DS will be the last portable system from Nintendo.

The NES Satellite has proven very useful for me. The way I have my setup right now my NES is sitting on a shelf above my TV. If I didn't have one of these my controller cords would have to stretch down over the TV for one, and two the cords aren't long enough for me to sit comfortably on my couch while playing a game. When I got one of these it was awesome. Just plugged in the sensor into the two controller sockets on the console and put the NES Satellite on the coffee table in front of me and I was ready to go. What is also great about this is that it has an auto shut off if you don't press any buttons on your controller for about 10 minutes to help save battery power. I didn't get it when I was younger but since I played my games sitting in front of the TV, it wasn't practical to use one. Well, it does also have 4 ports to play 4 player games so it might have been a worthwhile purchase Suspect. But today, it has been a handy welcome addition to my gaming peripheral family.

Oh yes. Batteries last awhile too. It also has those turbo buttons that would be great in shmups. One thing I haven't gotten to work yet is the gun. It has a switch so you can plug in a Zapper but when I tried, nothing. No matter what port I put the Zapper in.

Yeah, the crappy thing about NES peripherals is the monstrous use of batteries. lol I only have 12 rechargables, time to buy a few new sets! LOL
