| This was one of the most fun titles on the Virtual Boy and it was the free game that came with it. Immediately I was impressed with the 3D tennis court and the ball as it was hit from one side to the other. Surprisingly I can still hum the intro music. Wait, that's probably because I have it sitting in my Virtual Boy right now and every once in a while my daughter turns it on resulting in Mario's Tennis music blasting across the house. Pretty impressive speakers. Even louder than the DSi's. But the game allowed you to play singles or doubles. You chose from a variety of Nintendo characters, 8 total. You could choose single game or tournament. In tournament you had to beat a team or player to advance to the next round, 3 total. Win the last one and you are the champion! While playing you could hit the ball soft or hard, lob or spike. If you scored your player walked to his/her position with a smile . Lost the point and they would walk to position sad and sometimes crying. If they ever made it possible to link up two virtual boys for simultaneous play, this would have really been something. | |
