Headset

I've had one of these for a very long time and haven't used it yet. I know ZeldAnTales has one. I need to connect with one of you guys so I can test out how well this thing works.

Honestly... I've never used it in game, with the exception of one time: I tried using it while the wife was sleeping in bed, I was playing Phantom Hourglass. I tried to blow into it, like the actual mic on the ds, and it didnt work because of the angle of the headset and the trajectory path of my breath. lol

Do you have the Pokemon game that uses it for voice chat online? I think it was Diamond/Pearl Versions.

Yeah never gone online with a Pokemon game because it is extremely unintuitive to me.

Do you know of any other online games that use it?

Maybe I'll try using it with Nintendogs if there are none.

I've been using it on Nintendogs now. Works ok. Doesn't fit on my ear
very well and it's hard to use for blowing. When I pull out the bubble
blower I have to cup my hand from my mouth to the mic so the air travels
to it. The headset wasn't intended for this so I won't mark it down for
that, but I will knock it for being pretty flimsy. Sucks that we can't
use these on the 3DS.

One thing that's weird. I set up a bunch of dog commands using the
Headset but when I try to use them without the Headset, my dog doesn't
understand me. I am now forced to use the Headset if I want my dog to do
tricks.

Probably because the mic is so sensitive the distortion from being closer ala headset is what it recognizes rather than the syllables of the words, lol.

You're probably right.

I haven't gone back to Nintendogs and the headset in a while now. I did acquire 3 other dogs and made sure to teach them tricks without the headset. I guess my original dog will forever be clueless to my commands. I dunno. I guess I give the headset a 3.5 / 5.

I give it a 0 for almost NO support.
