Wii Wheel

It's nice to see Nintendo finally supporting the Wii Wheel with Excitebots to go along with Mario Kart Wii. I know you can use any ol' steering wheel since it's just an attachment, or none for that matter, but I like that they are actually coming out and saying that this game is Wii Wheel compatible. That makes 2! Maybe an F-Zero down the road will also be Wii Wheel compatible. Rolling Eyes

Maybe the box should say, "Whatever plastic piece you want to throw over your controller" compatible. Razz

I should slap my Wiimote in my spatula attachment next time I play Mario Kart and see how that does.

I actually think that using the wheel gives you a major disadvantage in Kart. Slower reaction, less precision. Valiant effort but I still prefer the Gamecube controller.

I agree with the above whenever I used the wheel I always found that I did worse than if I just used the Wii-Mote to be honest. I do think it gives you the disadvantage rather than helping at times unless you are really in practice with it.

I still use the Wii Wheel whenever I play Mario Kart Wii. I feel as if I'm not playing the game as Nintendo intended if I do otherwise. It's probably keeping me from becoming better than I am since it hinders my ability to slide and manual control, but it's all fun the same and I still manage to pull down some first places.

Have to admit it does make it that little more fun using the wheel, makes good for a laugh aswell when you have friends round lol

But seriously this Wii Wheel is really fun for playing Mario Kart Wii and I might as well need to practice this for a long and specific time. Wii Wheel Icon_razz

Big disadvantage indeed. I've tried to put in a little practice using the Wiimote and Nunchuk for tomorrows Wii Games Summer 2010 but I think it's too late. If I continue at least I'll be a better racer online! Finally I'm pulling off all sorts of slides and boosting out of turns that I couldn't do with the Wii Wheel.
