| I was using this last night to write messages to a few friends and was thinking how much of a waste this purchase was. It's officially licensed and works well, but really a keyboard just doesn't get much use on a Wii. It's wireless so you plug in a dongle in a usb port on the Wii. It does have some Wii specific buttons if you're surfing the web on the Wii like zoom in/out and forward/back, along with quit. The Wiimote is just too handy. I've never needed to use this while on the internet. I've only pulled it out a few times when I've wanted to write lengthy Wii-mail messages (pointing around at all the letters is a bit of a chore). | |

| I don't know. I thought it was a pretty good idea instead of Wii Remote that your using for typing letters to your friends and family which is annoying. That's why this keyboard is a little handy when it comes to writing it to your friends and familys. It maybe a waste to you, but I find it somewhat entertaining. I am hoping that they will make more skin of any games from the Wii Console. (I repeat, a skin decorating for Wii Console) | |

| i agree with streex..but if you think about it a keyboard for any "gaming" system is somewhat useless. So i mean you get what you buy | |

| It was also a little pricey. I got it for $40 but normally it was going for $50. I'm under the assumption that any kind of keyboard is compatible? I haven't tried yet. | |

| pretty much, as long as the driver is built into the usb port. Otherwise you'd need an install disc. and I'm sure they wouldn't be compatible with the wii I'm sure. | |

| I don't know, I've sorta always wanted one. Typing on the Wii is quite annoying with all the pointing at every letter. But the USB keyboards are too expensive to warrant a purchase from me. Plus I don't know if it works on Wii until I try it, then it's too late to return it coz I opened it. | |

| Well I have been pulling it out from time to time to write stuff to you guys, like recommending Wii friendly sites you can visit on the Internet Channel. This is because the Wii sorely lacks a way to send a message to multiple people. I have to sit there and type the same thing a bunch of times just to get it out to all of you. | |

| Yeah thats pretty silly. With Wii Speak you at least have the option of sending the same message to multiple people. That's how I sent everyone my Protoman theme jungle. | |

That was a fun message to receive! I had to think about it for a little bit before I realized what it was. - Nintendo Furniture wrote:

I think you can use it anytime the keyboard pops up on screen. Be it the Internet Channel, writing a new message, even in some games. | |

| I've managed to get a keyboard for the Wii without buying one since my brother's wired one worked just fine but I agree its a hassle to get out just to write a simple message or browse the internet. | |

| Haven't tried to use it for any games but I have a feeling it should work anytime the on screen keyboard pops up. Even if it's for simple things like naming your profile. | |
