Screenshots :: GoldenEye 007 for the DS

With all the hype surrounding the new GoldenEye 007 on the Wii along with the gold Classic Controller Pro bundle, we seem to forget that we're also getting a new GoldenEye 007 on the DS. The earlier Bond game on DS, Rogue Agent, wasn't that great so Activision has to retool the formula if they are to truly improve the handheld experience. A few screenshots have been shared with us and it already looks better. Now let's see if it plays better.

It won't. This makes the one for Wii even less desirable, I REALLY hate when a game is on both console and handheld. One is always superior.

Surprisingly when they go both ways, if the handheld version is 2D and the console version is 3D, the handheld version is usually better. I'm sure in this case the console version will be better.

Yeah. Heh. NP almost always rates the DS version of a game better than the Wii version. Still, those are usually licensed trash games. DS games are both easier and harder to make in some ways, so developers have to be more creative on the DS making for more creative games.

In this case, though, I'm sure Streex is right. I do see a good place for both games, though. Good hand held multiplayer online shooters are hard to come by, so it will be welcome for those who need one. Also, the DS has a mic built in, so no need for Wii Speak.

Or the DS headset might work well in this case. I didn't know it supported the mic. That might make the DS version a worthy purchase for on-the-go headshots.

I don't know that it does support the mic, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Also, any word on whether or not the Wii version supports Wii Speak?

As far as I know there is no WiiSpeak support, just Golden Classic Controller Pro support.

Wait, do you just mean they haven't mentioned Wii Speak support, yet, or there's indication that it doesn't have it? Isn't voice chat, like, a requirement for online FPS, anymore?

How many online FPS are there on Wii? I can only think of 3 and all support Wii Speak.

Consider Activision to be lazy I suppose. I don't see why they couldn't. But it won't be compatible. It also might be because they think it would be a waste to put it in if not that many people have WiiSpeak.
