Will mobile phone gaming kill off systems like the 3DS?
I doubt it, there will always be dedicated portables.

Yes, the 3DS will be the last portable system from Nintendo.

Probably, unless Nintendo drops their prices.

Memory Card N64-me10
These were so great when they first hit the Nintendo 64. No more saving to a game cart or plugging in long passwords. While saving to a cartridge was great, over time the battery in the cart dies and you have to do some surgery on the game to open it up and put in a new one. The memory card also was easier to put in your pocket and take your save data to a friends house. The amount of storage was minimal but I only needed 3 of these in the N64 era for my game data. The Nintendo brand ones were a little pricier but they could be relied on to not get corrupted. All hail the great memory card!

...and now we have SD cards. THANK YOU, Nintendo, for sticking with non-proprietary technology!

Agreed. Love those little nuggets of storage but in the interest of accessibility and the prevention of price markups, going the SD Card route was a good move. Someone however tried to make a few extra bucks with SD Cards on the Wii. You might have seen them, especially during the early years of Wii. SD cards with a Wii logo on the sticker and minimal storage space, costing as much a regular SD Card with 4 times the memory. For some reason I bought one. Filled that 512MB fast. Now memory is no longer an issue thanks to my 16GB card.

I went with 4gb because I don't think I'll ever fill it with that much WiiWare. Still have quite a bit of space but who knows...
