DSi XL moves 100K units in 2 days

Japan has proven once again that they love Nintendo. In just two days, the DSi XL (LL in Japan) has sold 103,524 units. In comparison, the DSi sold over 170,000 units in its first two days and the PSP Go 28,000. Bigger screens and bigger stylus, the DS is not as portable as it once was. Many people that bought the DSi XL had already owned a previous DS, including the DSi. My main concern is what Nintendo is going to do about consumers that want to upgrade but have already downloaded DSiWare games to the DSi. Transfers in the past have had to come through the direct help of Nintendo and only if your current hardware was damaged and no longer playable. I'm sure the issue will grow in the coming months and soon Nintendo will once again have a solution.

Pretty impressive. I doubt it will be as much of a success here in the States, I could be wrong. I want one, prolly won't be able to snag one right away. Not worth it. Very cool though, portability is not an issue for me, I get motion sick in cars and such, so on the go gaming is not my thing. These screens seem big enough for a family to watch.

The new red 25th Anniversary DSi XL's look pretty tight! I feel like I should get it when it arrives so I won't regret it later when it's a pricey collector's item.

The Wii looks cool as well. Not buying 'em though.

Are you getting a red 3DS? I'd wait personally. What if they announce a new model at E3 next year? I think it's highly likely.

Already got it. It's actually for my son, but I'm a mean dad and was going to give him my black one and keep the sleek red one. (I'm less generous with my kids than that sounds. He agreed not to have a birthday party if we got him a 3DS instead, so that seems worth the $120 we paid Gamestop in addition to trading in my decrepit old DS phat.)

Nice, all 3 colors. Family with class. I wanna do the same, but... I actually don't ike the look of the red one. :O Blue/green aqua whatever its my style, lol.

Bumping into this story again seeing how Japan loves Nintendo and always moves units for them, and it's happening again with the 3DS! Gotta love the Japanese keeping Nintendo atop the monthly sales charts because North America is lagging.

This says DSi not 3DS...

On a more surprising note, in the UK they only sold 30k wiiu software titles in the whole country last week, that includes console bundles. Vita software actually outsold the wiiu.
