| I may be the only person alive whose never played a Grand Theft Auto game. Actually, that's not true, back when it was a 2d game and much different, and pc exclusive- i played it then, like 10 years ago. But, RDR is pretty fantastic. It's wide-open, which after the recent, very linear FF13, feels like a nice cool draft on your buns. The game play is fun and diverse, i.e. poker games, shoot-outs, horseshoes, horse breaking. Pretty much anything you could do back in the old west, you will be asked to do in RDR, including watching guys jump off their horses to whiz on a boulder- it hasn't happened a lot, but it happens. And i take that very opportunity to run at them and push them to the ground. Unfortunately, pushing people around doesn't seem to affect anything but the angst ridden pimply teenager trapped in me since high school. So, personal vindictation yes, but nobody has tried to rough me up in return by shoving them, which is a bummer. There are many different outfits you can discover, either through special accomplishment, or by finding or buying pieces of them. And some outfits, offer specific benefits from wearing them i.e longer duration of Dead Eye while wearing the Legend of the Old West outfit. The game is beautiful, and to simply be able to observe brilliant sunsets or look up at the night sky filled with stars seems nearly worth the purchase price. I don't get out of town much anymore. But, you throw in trying to shoot down some man's wife while she swings from a noose and cutting down the filthy gang that put her there into the mix and it's a big wonderful wild west cluster f*ck. I didn't have the time, to even talk about story or the writing, but it's bar none some of the best i've seen. None of it seems ridiculous and out of place. The voice over work is just awesome. Well, i reckon i'll go play RDR for a spell before getting some much needed shut eye. Talk to you varmits later. S-Roc | |

| Wow. You're all about it. I will pass, as nothing about the game appealed to me. Welcome to the forum! | |

| Welcome S rock. I can attest to how awesome the game is. Its as if Rockstar said well we fucked up GTA4 and throwing this gameplay in a city maybe ist a good idea. So they made Red Dead Redemption. I havent sunk too much time into the game (thanks Warcraft) but the few hours I have blew me away. Lose at the poker table? hell blow the heads off the 3 guys who beat you. I like the buying up property features, and as you stated the voice acting is top notch save for a couple characters. My favorite feature so far is the hunting of wildlife. I love skinnin my kills and making money at the general store. | |

| What an entrance! Just kicked down the door! Welcome to the show Sroc. The way you describe this game makes me want to play it in the worst way. I've always been interested since I first heard of it and glad it turned out to be a gem. Maybe like GTA they'll port this down to the DS. | |

| Thank ya. Yeah, it's awesome. And big... I'm in mexico now and showin' em how we rape and pillage in the U.S. (The game doesn't actually let you rape anyone, but maybe they'll add that to RDR2) | |
