| What a beautiful GameCube launch game this was. Luigi took the next generation jump before Mario did for the first time in this astounding game that I really wish would get a sequel. Nintendo wasted no time to get you used to the dual analogs to control Luigi and the angle of the Poltergust 3000. A bit on the short side which was fine. The shadow effects also really impressed. The wife today said "I miss Luigi's Mansion". To which I said "Miss it, we still got it. It's sitting right over there!" | |

| Could never get into this game. Clunky controls and stupid, even for Mario, plot. IMO | |

| I guess my brother Ian is the only person that beats this game no matter how many times he likes playing this. And no matter how many times he is a weirdo, he is now rank of Freak a$$ weirdness inside his tiny little mind. What the heck am I saying! | |

| I loved this game. Just loved it. The controls worked perfectly for me. The gameplay was unique. The story was amusing. Everything was fun about it. I still have the music running through my head. Great music. (Doot doot doot doot, doo dee doot doot... doot doot dee doot, doo dee doot, dee doot doot.)
It was even the only game I can think of to make use of the analog abilities of the L and R buttons on the GCN controller. (You could squeeze a little for a little suction and a lot for full power and everywhere in between.) It was implemented flawlessly. Unfortunately, they didn't end up putting in any need for it. Using full power all the time was just fine.
Here's to hoping for a sequel on 3DS!!!

| I've heard rumors of a Luigi's Mansion for 3DS. It would have been nice if they made low suction useful such as needing to suck coins out of the curtains but if you do full power the curtain rips off and jams your vacuum. I didn't think the controls were clunky, but Luigi was slow moving. | |

I also liked the loading screens where you saw his hand shaking as he reached for the doorknob.

| Slow is clunky IMO. Felt like an RE game almost, in how shabby the reaction time was. Maybe I am mistaken, it has been over like 10 yrs since I played the damn thing, lol.
Still, on my list of GCN Greats, this doesn't even come close.
Hey thats a good thread idea...
