| well at least we get coins for the 20 free games lol. Maybe I will hit platinum after all. This is from the ambassador faq: - Quote :
- Are the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Games Eligible for Club Nintendo Coins?
Answer: Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors who link their Nintendo 3DS systems to their Club Nintendo account prior to downloading their games will be eligible to earn Coins for the 20 free games.

| Oh yes. Free games AND free coins. Every 3DS Ambassador should hit platinum status for 2012. But will that mean an even crappier reward??? | |

Naw. Most are not even club members. Besides- paying $250 for these, we DESERVE platinum.

| If rumor is true, it gets even better (worse). Nintendo announced a press conference Sept. 13 and it's rumored that they will reveal a new 3ds with a second circle pad on the right side of the handheld. For existing owners there will be a $10 circle pad attachment available. This is all rumor. We'll find out next month. | |

| The rumors are a bit wild I agree. An analog stick add on is a bit ridiculous I agree. And the library hasn't had a chance to mature, I also agree. Maybe there will be a redesign announced sometime next year, but shooting themselves in the foot going into the holiday season makes no sense.
Then again, no one expected a price cut so soon either. A move that happened before quality software had a chance to materialize. But I hope the rumors are false. I don't want to buy another 3DS next year.
Hopefully, like mentioned in the article, this bonus press conference is just to refocus consumers on the new games coming that should have everyone excited.

| The price cut was unexpected, but only because they've never done it before. In hindsight, it really had to happen. A lot of the cool features of the 3DS kind of depend on lots of people having them, and I'm pretty unhappy that I didn't get to enjoy them the way others may now be able to. | |
