| There was an update to the 3DS yesterday and it was quietly pushed to our systems. This time, instead of just bricking your system for currently used pirated software/hardware, the update can also brick your system for future dabbles in illegal activity. System stability improvements and other adjustments
Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.
Your Nintendo 3DS system and software are not designed for use with any unauthorized device and/or any unauthorized software. Please note that the Nintendo warranties do not cover any defects to or defects caused by unauthorized devices, software, modifications and/or non-licensed accessories. Furthermore such use may lead to injury to yourself or others and may cause performance issues and/or damage to your Nintendo 3DS system and related services. Nintendo (as well as Nintendo licensees or distributors) is not responsible for any damage or loss caused by the use of such devices, software, modifications or non-licensed accessories.
IMPORTANT: After the Nintendo 3DS system is updated, any existing or future unauthorized technical modification of the hardware or software of your Nintendo 3DS system, or the use of an unauthorized device in connection with your system, may render the system permanently unplayable. Content deriving from the unauthorized modification of the hardware or software of your Nintendo 3DS system may be removed. Failure to accept the update may render games unplayable. This sounds like a trickier problem for hackers to overcome than usual. Now they have to prepare for what might happen when newly added pirate software is used. Does this latest attempt at thwarting pirates stand a chance? History says it is merely a speed bump. | |

| Speed bump it is (also- looks like my hiatus might have been a little ... incorrect ) not that I dislike what they're doing. I dont know why I am so adamant about not stealing games, I steal candy bars and goofy shit all the time from gas stations. :O I mean, I know a guy who does!!! | |

| I'm totally against stealing games myself and yet...I used to know a guy that would work drive thru at a fast food joint and pocket the money from all customers who paid in exact change, then cancel the order on the register after the food was made like it never existed. Back in the day, I was ok with that guy. But games....no. | |

| That's exactly why many places offer you a reward for pointing out that you weren't given a receipt. Can't pull shenanigans like that once a receipt has printed. | |
