| These games are all about the online experience but I like to go through the single player campaign first to get used to the controls so I don't get utterly wiped out online. So that is what I did. Story made some sense but it was all over the place and of course very dark. It was fairly fun and used the Wii Zapper entirely when playing. After finishing the game's 14 levels I went online and used the headset. Interesting people online but thanks to it being a Nintendo online experience there wasn't much foul mouthed gamers. Tne one girl that was cussing me out thought I was on her team but I kindly reminded her that I was camping out because my team already captured all the flags and now I'm defending one. lol. She thought I was on her team not going out and going for flags. I hear this game is slightly gimped from the online versions such as some of the graphic effects in single player campaign, 10 player battles instead of 16, and not being able to fly a plane online, but other than that it is all there. Tons of modes to play and unlock. Huge Wii community too. Even playing from 12-3am there was always about 43,000 online. I never led my team to victory. Best I did was 3rd out of 5. On the downside some of the motion controls like melee attack don't work especially well, you have to vigorously and repeatedly shake the Zapper to get it to function. Overall it's a solid experience. It's a better game on the HD consoles, but the Wii version still received high review scores, has a large community of online players, and sold over 1.2 million copies. Any shooter fan would have a good time with this one. 3.5 / 5 | |
