Netflix on Wii

Well when it comes to consoles not every one of them will fail, christ I still have my original NES and it freaking works (not well, but come now). Regardless, there is no denying using it as both a gaming platform and media center shortens its lifespan a bit.

These updates are not going to be necessary for me. I don't plan on buying a 3D TV in at least 5 years, meaning I won't need a 3D firmware update. The extra $120 will go to better use for something I can use right now.

Therein lies my problem. I'm a peripheral whore.

I've heard it work well for only about half the people I know so hopefully I'll be in the better part of 50%. Hope I get a chance soon to play it so I can see if my board is ok. A member at Facebook has it and his reply was it is "alright". There's still hope!

Either way the bass player is a skater and he said it is horrible. Enjoy! Razz

In his case, since he is a true skater, this wouldn't be for him. If a skater wants to skate, they'll be outside skating. Then there are those that aren't cordinated that will dislike this. My situation is that I used to be a skater back when I was 13 so I'm hoping that my old skills show up, and since I don't anymore this would be my only way to relive the glory days. We'll see. I might jump on and think it's crap.

BACK TO NETFLIX:

After repeated use I find that my Wii almost certainly freezes after one episode/movie. Every time. Anyone else?

Ouch. Haven't had that problem. Although it's starting to temporarily freeze while running a movie. Kind of like how the videos on the Nintendo Channel do when they are loading. About 5 times during one movie but for only a second each time.

Well obviously it was my Wii messing up. Since being fixed/replaced both are working extremely well. In fact, it has basically turned one of our Wiis into the "TV Wii" while the other is played with games.

It's probably just your internet stopping the stream for a bit

If you haven't been to Netflix on your Wii in a while, jump in there real quick to download an update. Probably only useful if you have kids, it adds a "Just Kids" tab to the top of the page. When you click it it sends you to a page with a bunch of characters on the top that you can choose from and then pick episodes or movies they star in below.
