Iwata confirms Zelda Wii for 2010

The speculation can finally end. In an interview with Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, Satoru Iwata confirmed that Zelda Wii is slated for a 2010 release. Other big news he shared was the arrival of new games in July that will take advantage of the new Vitality Sensor peripheral. This should mean that the Vitality Sensor will be available about the same time, just a month after E3. Finally, in regards to the Nintendo 3DS, he shares that it will have high resolution visuals and sensors that will detect player motions. These statements of late are setting up huge hype for E3 that will consist of Zelda, the Vitality Sensor and software, and the 3DS. While the confirmation sounds good on paper, keep in mind the past few Zelda games have been delayed. Hopefully not this time.

I sure hope they do something a bit def with the new zelda. the OoT set up is getting a bit dusty to me. As far as the motion controls on the DS. i hope it takes over for the touch screen. iv seen peoples DS's that are more than a year old and the screens are often scratched ect. Any way with all this plus a new SMG and metriod game on the horizon im really getting excited to be a Ninty fan! And iv got an awsome site to hang on and chat about ninty now, yep IGN is great! lol just kidding ninfest rocks. you really have done a great job with the site. i AM going to tell every one im the brains behind it though .....of course when they get to know me they will know thats a lie as im much like a ps3 in that i have a Cell "singular" CPU in my head and its a bit under clocked :p

Yes, a Majora's Mask take on the franchise is needed badly, even I can admit that now. ROFL And by MM I don't mean just copy pasta what MM did, just the approach they took. Not in Hyrule, no Ganon, etc. Would be amazing.

I was actually quite disappointed with Spirit Tracks, I haven't even beaten it yet and I got it/started it months ago. Such a snore!

Id actually like to see a bit more of an RPG type influnce. a deeper more fleshed out story,Characters that are a bit deeper as well. And maybe just a def set up. but at the least i hope they have a better save system and better combat in the game. Iknow in LoZtp i got so board with the fighting most of the time i would just run past the baddies as fighting them was bland, same with the metriod prime games. while the boss fights were great i found most of the common enemies tedius to kill.

oh please! that was an empire engineered starbase. All empire tech is crap and designed AROUND one major flaw/weak point, Its like making a suit of armor with no groin protection !. i mean the super stardestroyer was taken out by being rammed by 1 i repeat 1 fighter. Not a very effective designed cap ship and some pretty ineffective sheilding and armor! And multible star destroyers could not take out a single cargo ship! so excuse me for not being impressed about taking out a POS junk moon with a massive design flaw.
