Finaly i have bought a new wii game huray!

its been a long time but yea i just bought my first wii game sense smg. i got deadspace at walmart today.hope my wii still works lol. last time i played it it was makeing some funky clicking noises ;( but any way im going to find me a scary movie on hulu, watch it and get in the mood and then blast me some necromorphs.

What did you apy for it? Good to see your bought a game thats worth buying on the Wii. Even if its not as good as the real Dead Space.

29.99$ usa, new. i try to buy all my games new to support the devs. been so busy i have not had a chance to play but im going to start in on it in just a bit. But yea its a shame wii only owners did not get a chance to have a true all out deadspace game. Its def one of the very best horror games iv ever played. i crank up my surround sound system and man the sound effects are so cool. i love it when i hear something sneaking up behind me lol. shame i cant figure out how to get my wii to work with my audio system in surround mode .

And my favorite part about Dead Space was the interface, love how everything is projected in front of you. Wierd I know but no one has done it since and I think it just makes sense. Also the violence was pretty awesome.

yea the interface was neat. i also liked the option to use the feature that tells you were you need to go next that way you dont spend time going in the wrong direction lol. i wish metriod prime series had that lol. i used to get so lost in those games. Any way i put in about an hour in to the game. so far its not a bad game at all. a farcry from the first game.

There is no logical solution why the Wii doesnt have 5.1, its a required option on any DVD player...and that drive in your Wii is a DVD drive. No excuses for lack of the option.

o man i just realized i posted this in the wrong sub forum lol. bad wildcard BAD! any way yea im going to try and get my wii hooked up to my system.

Iv put in around 4 or 5 hours in to the game. Its not bad at all but then again so far its not that great. Maybe im just spoiled by the first game ;P. *so far* id give it 8 out of 10 maybe.

ok well i put in a few more hours and i can safely same the game is .... ok. But not great. while its a good onrails shooter its still an onrails shooter and it got old pretty fast. def not a AAA game. id say after putting in a few more hours id give it a 7.5 or an 8.0. the only thing that saved it is that its on the Wii. by that i mean the wiimote. if i had to play this with a ps3 controler i would not recommend it for any thing more than a rental .

And yea trez it is silly ninty did not give us true surround sound or a more modern way of useing it such as Optical cable or even HDMI. i mean optical has been out for a long time now and it could not have cost them that much to add it. but ninty has become known for such short cuts the last couple gens .

Oh brother complaining about lack of 5.1 geezus... It's nice when it is supported but in almost NO case does it make or break a game.

In dead Space the sound is one of its best features. Perhaps you havent played it but If you had you wouldnt make that comment.

Sound is a game's best feature? Call me skeptical. I'll pass on this game.

I can't believe people are still complaining about this. Sound is nowhere near the main reason a game sucks or not. But if you also want to complain there is no logical reason why Nintendo doesn't give us HD graphics go right ahead.

I'll direct you to the success of the Wii and why it is a phenomenon and then you should understand why sitting at the cutting edge of technology isn't required.

Im sorry but 5.1 is about as far from "cutting edge" as it gets. Its a standard for and DVD player. 7/1 uncompressed audio the PS3 does is cutting edge. Im simply saying there is no reason the wii shouldnt have 5.1 because it has a DVD drive.

The Wii is not a dvd player. You are assuming the Wii the same attributes, which is not correct. Yes, the games are dvds so in that sense it is a dvd player, but expecting it to perform in identical fashion is unfair.

The PS3 offers what you want, so stick with it. Don't complain because others don't care about technicality. The Wii's games better fit me as a gamer, and their games tend to not address any "standard" at all, rather they rely on the creativity/direction of its creators/publishers. Not to say that it doesn't take creativity to do the cutting edge stuff, by any means.

Well thats just fine for you then zeldaantales. but some of use actually do care. and maybe you should not complain about people caomplaining just because you dont find it worthy of complaint. the world does not revolve around whats important to you. the fact is simple 5.1 dolby has been around for a long time. as triz said it far from cutting edge, and triz did not say sound was the games only good feature just that it was one of its best features, so really you need to lay off the tude. I dont know if you have ever played a game that has good surround sound, i have only had a SS system for less than a year and its my first real exp with it but i can tell you that in many games it greatly enhances the exp. And in a game that use's suspense,surprise and fear like the Deadspace games suround makes it a lot better. even in a game like smg it is nice to have. And it is just strange that ninty didnt include a good salution for SS. And the wii is in fact a dvd played as it in fact plays dvd's. just not dvd movies for what ever reason though as i hear it people have used something called homebrew to allow the Wii to play movies. not that i am in support of hacking a wii.

well here is the thing, no one is saying a game sucks because it does not have SS. But that in no way means that it would not be a good thing to have.And there is a big def between nintys choice not to have HD graphics and there choice not to include SS even threw a simple optical conection.As devloping a system to play in HD ect would have been costly but adding Dolby 5.1 with an optical cable input would have been fairly cheap and very simple relativly speaking.And 5.1 Dp is not at all cutting edge. its old tech. in fact its older than the gamecube and iirc it was out before The n64.

I'll buy it off you for $10 when you're done with it.

Wow dude me and Triz are cool you don't need to start a crusade. You realize you were complaining about me complaining about complaining? And you wanna get all angsty about it! Delicious!

As for the world revolving around me surely it does not, this I know full well to be true. But by all means please point out other obvious facts of reality. I could give you a few to get you started... :3

there is no reason to get so defensive about some one saying they think the wii should have SS.nd telling them what amounts to if you dont like play a def console. Its not like we said nintendo sucks or so in so game sucks because it does not have surround sound lol.

You guys are talking like the sound is atrocious on Wii. It still sounds great hooked up to surround, as I do. How is it a big deal?

It's the same as the GameCube surely, but Triz can't lie about being impressed with surround even on that console. He was over one day and we were playing Eternal Darkness. When the chants started echoing around the entire room, he literally had a mind blow moment.

I bet that mind blow moment would stand true even today.

I'm going to start complaining that the PSP is weak because it only has one screen. In this modern gaming age, successful portables have 2 screens. Somebody better read in the paper or somethin.

No one is saying the sound is atrocious. at least im not. just saying it could have been a lot better with little effort on ninty's part and for very little cost. As far as complaints go i just think its silly every time some one has even a minor complaint some one always has to jump up and complain about some one else's complaint lol. Its like some folks think that just because they dont care about the subject or they dont feel its something to complain about or talk about then it should be some kind of taboo subject. Good surround sound on the wii would be great as would having a better way of connecting such as optical or even HDMI but its not like im saying it ruin's the exp by not having it.
